We originally created this site as part of a project for our 9th grade government class. As we researched and looked more into the issue of honeybee survival, we fell in love with them and realized how big of an issue it is. We have enjoyed keeping up the website and are happy to be able to keep up the advocacy throughout high school and beyond.
Eleanor Carlson
Hi! My name is Eleanor Carlson. I am a Junior at Edina high school where I have started a club called Project Honey Bee. I am an artist in training, a designer and I also enjoy photography and sculpting. My favorite thing to do is travel and explore. I spent the first 6 years of my life in Hailsham, England, a very small town south of London. We grew veggies and fruit in our back yard, both in England and now in Edina. When I found out about the decreasing death of bees I knew I had to help. The survival of honey bees is very important to me because of all the wonderful things they do for the earth.

Sarah Higgins
Hello! My name is Sarah Higgins. I am a Junior at Edina high school. I grew up in Switzerland from 2005 to 2010 where residential bee keeping was very popular. I now enjoy volunteering for EGAA by coaching youth volleyball. I also volunteer at the Fulton Farmer's market in the summer. That's how I found out about an organization called The Beez Kneez. They bring their honey to the Farmer's Markets to sell but also to gain publicity and educate the public about their efforts. When I saw The Beez Kneez at the first Service Fair at school, I became interested in advocating for the honey bees. It's only fair that we help out our honey bees, after all they do for us.
